Lyndhurst in Reading

Lyndgurst is a pub/restaurant in Reading.
The price is a bit high for me, but after seeing the food it's worth it!

I had Lamb Roast today.

It was £11.

Yes, it's huge!

The Yorkshire pudding was 2 and half times of the normal size.
The roast vegetables are the best I've ever had.

I really like the atmosphere in the pub.
The light and the people, it's cozy and comfortable.
I even like its location! kkk

I'm taking you to two picturesque towns today.
They are so beautiful that so many movies were filmed there.
The two places are: Castle Combe(pronounced as 'coon') 克姆堡 and Lacock 拉科克

今天去了兩個美翻了的小鎮，
克姆堡和拉科克，
很多電影在這兩個地方取景 。

Castle Combe 克姆堡

You can take bus35 or 35A from Chippenham. (Chippenham Bus Station)
There are not many buses go to Castle Combe everyday, and there is no bus on Sundays.
It cost me £2.5 for the return tickets.
The place (Market Cross) you get off the bus is the place you are gonna take the bus again to go back to Chippenham.

沒有車，要自己去克姆堡的話，
可以先搭火車到Chippenham，
在Chippenham的巴士站6區搭公車35號或35A，
班次不多，
剛好給我兩個小時在克姆堡慢慢走、享受氣氛，
來回票是2.5鎊，
下車的地方是市集大廳Market Cross，
就在同一個地方上車回去。


Castle Combe is a lovely village which still preserves the medieval cottages.
The whole village is small but it is tranquil and like a picture.
What films were shooting here? Stardust(2007)! War Horse(2011)!
Ahhhh～～That is why you must go!
Walking in the streets is like living in the past.
If there are some horses passing by, the clopping sounds very natural. hahaha

                 

克姆堡真的很漂亮，而且還保留了中世紀的建築，
村子雖然很小，但是很安靜，美得像一幅畫，真的!
有哪些電影在這裡取景，你知道嗎? 就是<戰馬>和<星塵>! 
一定要去!因為雖然小，但是好美喔!
像活在過去一樣，走在電影畫面裡一樣。

Someone sale cakes at their door.
Just leave the money for what you take.

Bybrook River, from the river bank, you can see the best view of the village.

從小河流上的小橋可以拍到最美的照片
陽光灑在河面上，
小村子好美喔!

The old post office  is closed.
The post box is not in use either..


小村子裡的郵局已經沒有使用了，
看網路上說，村子裡也沒有醫生和警察了。

Free range children!
I've heard free range eggs,
but it sounds great!
I wanna be a free range child, too.

hahaha

What do you mean Picturesque?
What do you mean like a picture?
Just look at the pictures and be quite.

去了小村莊，
甚麼都不要想了吧!
好漂亮!好漂亮!大聲的喊(心裡喊)!
然後，深呼吸。

Imagine the rock roads where you are walking the directors, the actors and the actresses were there.
Imagine there were cameras filming the views you see.
I know, I imagined too much. kkk








Next one is Locock 拉科克.

Lacock is quite popular for tourism already, so it's not as authentic as Castle Combe.
I don't know whether is it good for a historic site to be claimed by the national trust or not.
It gave me a feeling of the whole town is a business...
The national trust has organized things well, but rather than being a keeper, they are more like ripping people off for me.

拉科克拉科克已經算旅遊景點了吧!因為已經被國家信託包下了。
小鎮有完整的地圖，很多手工藝品店，和下午茶館。

From Chippenham to Lacock, take bus 234.
It's only 15 mins. 3 pounds for the return tickets.

去拉科克也是從Chippenham出發，搭234號公車，15分鐘就到了，
來回票價是3鎊。

Lacock Abbey

拉科克修道院

 Lacock abbey is one of  the locations for filming Harry Potter. kkk
When I was in the cloisters, I was so touched.
Harry Potter, Ron and Hermione were chatting, laughing and running at the same place.

My adventure, has just begun!
I am going to be a wizard.

The ground is huge, but why £8.50?
Why?
So expensive! That's why I said they are ripping people off!

終於讓我去了拉科克，因為是哈利波特的拍攝景點害我想了很久，結果國家信託把我的幻想搞濁了!哈哈哈!

但是長廊真的好神奇喔!真的有魔法!

A Good Child

(This is a story)


Charlie was 7 years old, and was, according to most of people, a child.
But Charlie thought he was a bit bigger than a child.
He went to school everyday like all other children in the world.
One day, Mommy came to school to take him home.
"Have you been a good boy?" asked Mommy, holding Charlie's face in her hands.
"Define 'good'." Answered Charlie.
"Well, did you do anything wrong? Or have you made your teacher angry?" Mommy said.
"Hmm, I'm half good then." Charlie said to himself.
"What do you mean?" asked Mommy.
"I'm half good because I didn't do anything wrong but I did make my teacher angry." Charlie explained to his mom.
 "What did you do this time?" Mommy looked at him.
Charlie held out his fingers and started to count them out,
"First, I sang a song in the Math class. Don't ask me why, I just felt like it. Then, I answered the question Mrs Faikfox was asking Amy. I couldn't help it. Finally, I ran 200 meters when we were asked to run 100 meters." 
Mommy held Charlie's shoulders and sighed, "Oh, Charlie, why can't you be as good as others."
Charlie looked proud and said, "But, Mommy, can't you see, I am happy."

Mrs Faikfox came across the lawn and stood beside Mommy, "Mrs Iron, Charlie has been very naughty."
Mrs Iron nodded and said, "I know, Charlie had told me everything. I'm so sorry, Mrs Faikfox. I am very disappointed in him."
Mrs Faikfox turned to Charlie triumphantly and said, "Did you hear your mom, little boy?"
Charlie, who looked very grow-up at the moment, answered, "I'm glad that you include me in your conversation. However, you have to know that, I didn't choose her to be 'my mom'."
Both Mrs Faikfox and Mrs Iron stared at Charlie and seemed to lose their voice.
"You see, I remember I specifically asked for a mom who'd want me to be happy, not to be 'as good as others'." Charlie continued.
Last, Charlie looked into Mrs Iron's eyes and said, "I'm very disappointed at you, Ma'am." Then he walked away, left the two women where they were, and got on the car
